Steps Of Panic - Narrative Practise

This is a narrative story I wrote for our narrative practice. I felt like I could write myself as on of the characters that was experiencing one of her nightmares. I hop you enjoy reading my story.

Tears advanced towards the banks of my brown eyes flooding my sight with blindness. Sound effects echoed all around me haunting me. I glanced through the corn rows. My heart burned with desperation.I had to find them.Shadows Night had just opened and I was one of the fortunate people  people to snatch a ticket from the booth. Or not so fortunate by the sound of it.

12  O'clock at night, she’ll appear in your sight, her eyes are red crawling with maggots. Her teeth and claws are crooked and jagged. I panicked as I looked my eyes tinted with fear. My heart was pounding against my chest. My head was swirling with ideas to distract my light heart. I gave up.  I was dead. I yanked out my phone dialing Lome’s number automatically knowing Seka would be there
“Lome!Seka!”
The wind whistled as if my fears had suddenly lit up its heart. Lome replied screaming down the phone.
“ Mavee what is it this time?”
I shouted over the howling wind
“Where are you!?”
Seka replied “ we’re eating Chips at Rainbows End you?”
Sarcasm lingered in my voice “ oh you know just the usual I’m just standing in the middle of  Carls Junior.”
Seka choked on her big mac “ Say what?? Weren’t you at Shadows Night?”
I rolled my eyes “Oh Nah.”
Lomes voice took over the phone.”Why’d you call us for?”
I moved around in the corn maze whimpering as cornt leafs slapped my arms.
“ Listen up I’m really annoyed ok? I clocked all the levels but -”  My heart was beating faster and faster faster and faster  and faster until ...empty words choked me .I was suddenly falling.  Ice erupted in my back, fright pricked me and confusion bit me. I was yanked to a stop someone had pulled me as I was falling. I scratched and scratched.
“Ehhh the sungas already angry we didn’t get here earlier!:
“Apiseka! Salome! Sweet Jesus you guys saved me!”
Apiseka stood under a hole which had sun beaming through it. She put her hand to her chest while the other patted my head.
“Oh thank you very much thank you thank you!” She repeated as if she was a worldwide entertainer.A man in a wrinkled long coat topped by a  crinkled top hat. He looked familiar. Its impossible I knew he worked here I just never knew tonight. I’m in big trouble.
“Livi what are you doing here? I spluttered
“Working. Does Aunty know your here?”  He asked smirking
My face remained blank as I looked away. He laughed out loud. His white teeth glistening. I suddenly clicked. He's going to snitch on me to my mum. He pulled out my 50 dollars he owed me and waved it in the air. I leapt up and started chasing it like a clueless puppy. Salome and Apiseka joined in the chase. Seka got tired, sat down and took a colossal bite out of her Fries. She threw her fries onto her bag . lept up beating us to the money.

Stitched Circus

The reason why I chose the stitched circus as a title will be explained in the story. I have  a huge fear of clowns and I decided to channel that fear into a story the brings out my imagination. Writing was part of our work this week and were were given a prompt the went like this:
It was the strangest thing I've ever seen.
I hope you enjoy reading my story.
Curiosity erupted in my head, multiple sounds advanced towards my ears flooding the tips of my ears. The door creaked rocking back and forth on its rusty hinges.  The air contaminated with dust, dirt and a revolting toxic smell.  I waited, ice slithered up  my spine infecting it goosebumps poisoning my positive attitude with negativity.

Desperate to get out of the house I planted my foot onto the window sill. There was rotting hay below foot prints were printed into the hay. They led up to the exact window I was swinging my feet . Foot prints haunted me running faster and faster and faster and faster and faster and faster until it stopped. I glanced up. As if on cue hanging above me where shoes but no ordinary shoes red shoes. Suddenly old newspapers flooded into my head. New York Time: “ Circus Clowns Are Alleged Of Kidnapping! “ “L.A lounge: Red footprints stamped across a child's bed! But where is the child!”

The man in the red shoes looked down at me. It wasn't..It was a ... it was...a boy! Not just any boy but the one who lived down the street from me. He stared me I stared at him. His brown eyes twinkled with delight. Somehow it was the strangest thing I ever seen. A boy in clown shoes!
“Are you here to help me? Mavee??Hello??”  Asked the boy with brown eyes.
“Listen up  shaneehh - “ I replied but the boy cut in
“Its shane silent h at the end!” Shane bubbled furiously
“and? Anyway what am we doing here?” I grinned confused climbing up to join him
“We’re gonna be clowns they’re gonna ...” He traveled off as a car which had TEEHEE written all over it popped up in the distance.I grabbed his collar lifting him up off the ground.
“What are they going to do to us Shane!?!?!?”
“They’re gonna make us continue on the clown legacy they’re gonna make us do idiotic tricks they’re gonna stitch our mouths their gonna paint our face!”
That was indeed what they did. For 3 years me and Shane stayed with the Clowns traveling around America. There was a new trick to be performed. All the other clowns would walk on a rope that me and Shane held while a net was held below. Thats it! I stopped stood up and ran to shane.I wrote on a  piece of paper:
Shane when they are all on the  rope on top of the net we’ll let go of the rope while the other kids who are holding the net up all jump onto the stand in the middle bringing the corners together trapping the clowns!
We high fived. We wrote this on a paper and sent it to the other kids. With pain I took away the stitches on my mouth trickling with small traces of blood perfect. Now the whole world will see what they have done to us to the children of America!  Darkness enveloped the whole town as our tent pitched up. The ringmaster announced

“Now time for our clowny act from the clowny clown clowns we bring to you the ropes!”
Me and all the other children had masks on the type you wear when you’re on a protest the ones that were white but had a devil’s moustaches on front you know what I mean. The clowns all  jumped up on the rope grinning hopelessly thinking they had won too bad.My eyes signalled Shane as I loosened my grip I  shouted over the noise
“Now!” We let go the clowns fell the children standing on a podium way above the crowd down below jumped to the main podium. The tied the corners together trapping the clowns just as I planned. We used our newly found acrobatic skill we all jumped down. The crowd was shocked. The other children stood in a pyramid shape with me at the top followed by Shane and some random kid.  The  4 th row stripped the masks from their faces their parents who were in the crowd stood up gasping, crying wailing that their child was found. Their mouths were sealed with anger the children showed the crowd their stitched lips. The 3rd row revealed themselves then the second then Shane and the kid and last but not least me I took of my mask revealing my face my lips still had blood trickling down my face scarred with scratches.

The town's sheriff stood up and screamed
“ They’re alive! Mavis is alive! My girl is alive!”
That's right the Sheriff is my dad. I ran into his arms crying happily all the other children followed I remember being the 9 year old who led the protest who won with the children. Those kids and I started a show where we travel but we smile and talk where we’re happy but we still go home.
We still have family

Ice Of The Grand Canyon

This week we had to practise writing a narrative we were given the Idea of ourselves walking on tight rope over the grand canyon, inspired by a video we wrote our story.
I hope you enjoy reading my story

The Ice Of The Canyon

Ice erupted in my spine. Goosebumps infecting my body poisoning my hope. All I have now is a prayer held in the hands of Jesus and God. My eyes were tinted with a hunger for danger. My confidence was abused by slow regret. I stopped, there was no point in regretting now. Danger stampeded all over me scaring me with fear. I shook my head I had to concentrate. I felt like crying I didn't care if I lost my reputation. I wouldn't. My heart rate advanced towards a million beats a second flooding me with confusion. The word concentrate was on a  constant replay.

Adrenaline was injected into my body as if it was a pill that could cure how insane I was.I kept going I couldn't stop. The rhythm of the wind amped up to a faster beat. I hated this. I got down literally kneeling I cried a prayer. All thought of asking for more safety was abandoned.  I was halfway there a smile had crept across my face.  Silence strangled my throat.

The crowd was standing on the other side. Their legs pinched with horror. Doubt was erased from their faces as I continued to go.Dust was storming towards me. I shut my eyes to a squint but wide enough to have sight of the whole wire. Just a few more metres then  the  petrifying  situation would be over. 1 More meter. I  realised I was close enough to run to the end.

I ran almost leaping with joy.  I jumped off the wire and onto the other side. I hopped into the arms of my brother. He whispered “ you did it you walked  over the Grand Canyon   with no safety harness... you lucky girl” I grinned beaming with pride. I did it  I truly did it with  hope you can discover many thing. A smile had dipped over my horizon.

Free Style Writing - Homework - Loyalty To A Friend

For homework we were given subjects that we had to choose from in order to write our story. I chose the park and decided to make me my own character. I hope you enjoy reading my story.

Loyalty To A Friend

My legs moaned with aching pain, my heart advanced to a million beats a second.Breeze collided with my face as I sprinted towards the park. I Bumped into trees as we ran down the street my head spiralling.
“Mavee...Where are you?” The voice slithered closer
“No where I want to be-” I laughed
“Mav... we’ve played this game long enough to know we don’t hide in a bush when we’re playing hide and seek.”
“Uhhh where Bailey?” I glanced at the empty space whistling beside her
My heart pounded as my cousin replied
“I swear she was next to me!”
“Vicktoria I told you to look after her!” I screamed
We dusted ourselves off my yellow sandals smacking the ground. After hours of searching tears of desperation flooded the banks of my dark brown eyes. My mouth wavered as I whispered a one more lonely word.
“Bailey”
Victoria grabbed at me “ uhhh mav?”
“What?”
“That man has Bailey!”
A man with a mask which resembled the midnight sky turned his back on us. He jumped in the back of the van screaming orders telling them to get a move on. Anger burned through my common sense I started chasing the car. My sandal broke I kicked it off, my hair tie fell of I flipped my hair behind my ear.

I ran after the car it came into the park. Pt England park. The car kept going and going I stamped my eyes onto the car making sure it didn’t escape . It stopped the same man decided to pull out a gun. He aimed it towards me I turned away Viktoria was panting in the background  behind the man gasping
“Wait!Oh my god wait!”
The man was suddenly distracted by this I ran and leapt on him. Forcing my weight onto him. His elbow dug into my rib as he hit me again. I felt ice. I felt a pool of sun splashing on my face. I felt like I was falling through a bottomless.

I woke up in a hospital bed. I remembered something, something distant as if it was taken....
“Bailey!”
My cousin Viktoria hopped in literally. I didn’t waste time. I questioned her like.. what happened?
“Where’s Bailey?”
Bailey bounded in with mud on her paws. I laughed like no tomorrow. I had my cousin near my bed and my dog. I hung my hand over the corner bar of the bed Bailey licked my hand as I squealed with excitement. Viktoria slapped me on the back.
“Don’t ever do that again” Smiles beamed through her eyes.
