Maths Pirate Ship

On Wednesday the Stars went outside to do our maths (measuring) we had to use a metre ruler to make our nice pirate ship. We used chalk and the rulers because we had to make a perfect pirate ship. Everyone in the Stars had to do 2 pirate ships each because when we started it was crooked. Our ship had to be 4 meters long then we had to draw an upside down semi-circle and then we drew ourselves holding a 2 meter fishing rod with a 50 centimetre fish. Finally we decorated our ship and took a photo. Here is a photo of what we did!

  1. Dear Mavis,
I am writing from sunny Samoa. It is so great to see that Rm 8's "STARS" are ticking over fantastically as usual. Your work on the pirate ships shows your great use of Maths language. Manuia le Aso. Ms Hansell
