My First Movie!

Maths Pirate Ship

On Wednesday the Stars went outside to do our maths (measuring) we had to use a metre ruler to make our nice pirate ship. We used chalk and the rulers because we had to make a perfect pirate ship. Everyone in the Stars had to do 2 pirate ships each because when we started it was crooked. Our ship had to be 4 meters long then we had to draw an upside down semi-circle and then we drew ourselves holding a 2 meter fishing rod with a 50 centimetre fish. Finally we decorated our ship and took a photo. Here is a photo of what we did!

Bar Key

I used the BAR Key to think about how I could improve Maui's fish hook. I made the beginning of the hook bigger, I added the feather and replaced the the handle with string.

My goals for term 2

Term Two Learning Goals

My learning goal for Reading this term is:
To try and read more than two books a week. I want to make it to the highest reading age.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Replace my game time and t.v time as reading time so that I can focus on my reading goal and read more and bigger chapter books. If I can believe that, I can reach the highest reading level.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Supporting me with this goal and taking me to the library to pick out my reading books, like big chapter books.

My learning goal for Writing this term is:
To make sure I am using the right punctuation in the right way and make sure I use all my capital letters correctly.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Write my own little test and get my older brother or older sister to mark it for me and then she can tell me how well I am doing.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Giving me a challenge and then they can mark it like Miss Hansell does.

My learning goal for Maths this term is:
To learn my times tables and division faces for bigger numbers.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Find a site like ‘tut-pup’ and maybe try the dividing stage so that I can be good at it.
My whanau can help me achieve this by:
Testing me only with the dividing part and times-tables.

My personal goal this term is: to be a happy and an encouraging older sister to my little brother and get him ready for the day

To achieve this goal, I will need to:practice how to be a supporter like when my little brother knows he is going to loose a game of snakes and ladders I always say just keep on playing even if you loose at least you tried it

My whanau can help me achieve this by:my family can help me to achieve this goal by playing another game of snakes and I can encourage them
