Piri Weepu Description

It was windy as I looked out from the stadium to see Piri Weepu... Slapping his arms here and there rapidly. My mother sighs, pointing out at my father “Ah, look at how big he’s grown. Right down from when he was a little bub in 1983, but look at him now, I’ll bet he’ll even invade another pass exactly the same when he was a young boy.”

Bring it on his eyes seemed to say as he was doing the pukuna, intimidating the other team. “It’s time for Mr Piri Weepu to kick off the rugby world cup with his fascinating kick! oh yeah!” Says the commentator quickly, “Piri Weepu kicks off the striped ball!...He scores!! hallelujah! Thank you Lord! God bless Piri Weepu!” Yells the reporter from France jumping up and down like a crazy monkey!

Piri Weepu stretches his arm out to bulldoze all the other players out of his way sprinting hardcore to the try line. Doing it for his baby girl(true fact). Boy is he fast he must have been training so hard! I think he deserved to be here!

His tattoo guiding him along the side line. He dives under the rugby post. Piri stands up as fast as the wind, muscles pumping in excitement. His black eyes shining in the with pride, he took a quick glance at the cup(trophy). One more try... and they win.

His black hair stood up on all edges of his head as he saw another player running madly towards the try line! Piri Weepu just missed by being hit by another Rugby athlete. He moves as fast as a bullet towards the man and ... tackles him. He snatches the ball and runs toward his try line. Just one more metre and he’s finished . Score ! He made it! Yes!! Yes!!

The reason why this moment is special is how fast the pride in him sprawled quickly across his body. Ah... that was a special moment.

Buddy Writing - Welcoming Tonga

As I drove into the airport, I was shocked to see a sea of red, white and brown. There were people singing and dancing with pride.I could see cameras clicking away happily, the sound of laughter ringing in my ears.I started to cover my eyes,as Tongans
rushing past me to get to the front so they could see the rugby players, people are jumping up and down with excitement shouting “GO TONGA!”

I tried pushing my way through the crowd but I couldn't find my way through! I heard the Tongans screaming as loud as possible. I was stunned. Some of the the Tongan rugby players were marching onto the stage. Smiles were printed in their faces. They were exhausted from the flight.

They were tall and looked very strong. They were happy to represent their country . Although they were in a different country they still had the support . The Tongan rugby team performed an enthusiastic haka tau for their supporters and their country .

Everyone was exhausted, it’s because they had been waiting for hours in the boiling weather, for this .
