My Holiday Experience Descripion

During the holidays I took what I would describe as a rather interesting trip to me favourite food place. We were given the task of describing  something exciting that happened in our holidays and in my world getting food is exciting! I hope you enjoy reading my description.

Ice erupted in my spine poisoning my body with goosebumps infecting every inch of my body. My heart advanced to a pounding pace. Blood flooded my ears, clogging them and preventing any proper words crawling into my ear. The wind bit at my skin but the warmth of the sun overpowered this frigid bite. My stomach  was a pit of hunger, tempting me to scream. Desperation for food thundered through my stomach inspiring another wave of sadness to roll over me. The hairs on my neck crawled to a standing position as we drove further up.

My eyes flickered over the site in front of me. The charcoal black road, the lush green of the towering trees, the blinding strips of white dividing the cars from each other. The velvet coat of the seat, swinging around as the wind ran through it causing a disturbance in its perfectly fine condition. Then a wave of colours sprinted past as strangers strolled past waving, pointing and messaging each other. I rolled my eyes...I thought we ALL had lives to live...apparently not today. Dropping their wrappers carelessly into the open environment.

Laughing and tapping crept into my ear chasing away the easy going swoosh of the car. The screech of another car coming up behind me scarred my ears. It haunted me, poking and teasing me as it hung around. It was followed by an impatient bark of a the man behind me. Anger hissed inside my head. The pavement crunched under numerous shoes.Nike's,Puma's and there was the occasional pair of high heels. I absorbed the sounds savouring how naturally it belonged in Glenn Innes.

Spices hit my nose like a round house punch leaving me begging for another sniff. Then it was quickly smothered with fried potatoes, people sweating and even milkshakes. I caught a whiff of perfume. My sister just had to. The car smelt normal aside perfume but it was perfectly normal. The carpet smelt like you're average home carpet, the coated seats smelling like everyday seats.Oh well.

Then came the magical moment the lady handed over what we wanted. Our prize of the day. My sister's friend handed it over to the back. We gave our thanks and drove home satisfied of what we scored. We took it to the kitchen. I took a big, loud slurp savouring the flavour. I took a bite of chicken. My favourite types of chicken. Goodness. It tasted divine, sublime, beautiful it tasted like my favourite meal. KFC was a pleasant start to my afternoon

My Zoo Trip Narrative

I was meaning to post this earlier on put something else popped up. This week I decided to edit my Zoo Trip Narrative and post it onto my blog. I hope you enjoy reading my Mystery.

Lost But Still To Be Found.

My thirsty eyes flickered with jealously poisoned with a hunger of attention and flooding with hatred. My claws scratching the ground. My mouth scarred with a frown. My heart was stone hard. Only once did it start beating. They started calling his name. Was my name ever called? It would never fit my taste. I laid lazily basking in the streams of light flowing through the cage. He was outside now . He looked drowsy as if someone drugged him. I shook away the thought but still a woman came in and she was not a worker at the zoo
“Hero!Hero!Hero!Hero!”
The zookeeper ordered Hero
“Play dead”
Thee feeder roamed around my cage. He smiled
“You will be the first I feed! I’m glad you are!”
I was confused earlier on someone had fed Hero. Just another crazy Idea
And indeed he did.
Deep in the heart of the crowd a venomous heart smirked. Her soul was to be watched never ever leave such a soul like that lurking around in the dark.
“Up and at it Hero!”
He didn’t move this intrigued me. I stood up pawing at the ground
“Up and at it Hero!”
I roared my mouth opening wider than I expected it to. A member from the crow ran up and felt Hero’s pulse.
She stood up. “He’s gone”
I fell.

The fallen had risen and the risen had fallen yet the scars were still burning. Dishonor came upon my family. We were considered outsiders because we were taken away. These humans I considered friends are absolutely revolting. Right then and there I swore upon the life and death of my brother that from afar I will sacrifice my life her to see who killed him.
My name is Zuraffa.

They started investigating but while the happened rumors sprouted slowly growing into fully mature lies which flowed around the Zoo. After years of mourning I started gathering evidence. There were 3 left but so far I couldn’t handle

Not a single candle burned with evidence of who did this until one day.
Two Zookeepers were mumbling outside my cage the first once whispered
“It has to be the the animal feeder!”Watching
“Why?”
“Check it. One Hero was fed before the show”
“And?”
“Two Hero looked like he could hardly walk after it?”
“So!?!? It could’ve been expired cat food?”
“No it wasn’t we checked the Best - By - Use date it expires next month she poisoned him lets tell the cops.

They walked away just as the another woman walked my fur raised at her voice something about her was wrong. I shook it off just the Zookeepers wife. I walked away. So did she instead she came my way. Her eyes wore the same expression I wore when Hero’s name was being called. She walked away slowly yet her eyes were still burning into my coat.

I couldn't figure out who

Cops and Animal RIghts zoomed past my cage running to a door which boldly stated Animal Feeder. They barged in then a few seconds later came bustling out dragging the Animal Feeder who was pleading her innocence.

One of the cops muttered “ Somethings not right here its not the feeder its”
That very cop ran away to inform the others.A satisfied laugh came from the corner of my cage. I turned around my heart beating. She chuckled mercilessly
“You don’t know me do you?”
I shook my furry head
She chuckled “ good  I prefer it that way don’t you ?”

My Goals For Term 3

Aloha! Today I'd love for to show you my reading goals so you can get a taste of what I hope to achieve at the end of this term so I can make way for new goals for next term. I hope my presentation inspires you to make some of your own and I hope you enjoy viewing my presentation

The Circus - Description

Hi, sorry for not posting constantly. Today in class we had to choose a photo to describe I chose a photo with elephants this picture is described by the instructor point of view ( my point of view.)
I hope you'll enjoy reading my story below:

Desperation was leaking from the audience. Pouring into the heart of magic. Reviving a spark in the roaming eyes of the elephants. Their eyes slightly drowning in the anxiety of hearing two simple words. This feeling is impossible to replace. Ice erupts in my spine triggering a hollow and deep pit in my stomach. Hoping my that I could turn away from the prying eyes.

Literally time freezes Drip...drop...drip..drop...drip...drop..drip...drop.My ears perk at the sound of tapping footstep suddenly followed by flip flop of a woman’s high heels. Her 10 carrot diamond earrings dancing echoing through a long midst of silence. Suddenly a haunting melody envelops me the music makes a quick firm grip onto my ears and as fast it appeared it vanished into the ghostly silence

The aftertaste of sweat is revolting especially when it slowly trickles into your mouth. My tastebuds whispering to me “Disgusting” I throw a peanut in mouth it was a million times more satisfying then a river of sweat. I swallowed my tongue was craving for more tasty food something better then sweat with a side of peanuts crawling down my throat.

Flickers of light poisoning the blank ground. Everything's a parade now. People are starting to get really comfortable but that's not all I can see the colourful lights are taking over the show. The crowd was still leaning forward. Their eyes perked. The mouth on the verge of opening up to scream. The elephants waiting patiently for my magic words
“NOW GO!”

“NO

Free Style Writing - Homework - Loyalty To A Friend

For homework we were given subjects that we had to choose from in order to write our story. I chose the park and decided to make me my own character. I hope you enjoy reading my story.

Loyalty To A Friend

My legs moaned with aching pain, my heart advanced to a million beats a second.Breeze collided with my face as I sprinted towards the park. I Bumped into trees as we ran down the street my head spiralling.
“Mavee...Where are you?” The voice slithered closer
“No where I want to be-” I laughed
“Mav... we’ve played this game long enough to know we don’t hide in a bush when we’re playing hide and seek.”
“Uhhh where Bailey?” I glanced at the empty space whistling beside her
My heart pounded as my cousin replied
“I swear she was next to me!”
“Vicktoria I told you to look after her!” I screamed
We dusted ourselves off my yellow sandals smacking the ground. After hours of searching tears of desperation flooded the banks of my dark brown eyes. My mouth wavered as I whispered a one more lonely word.
“Bailey”
Victoria grabbed at me “ uhhh mav?”
“What?”
“That man has Bailey!”
A man with a mask which resembled the midnight sky turned his back on us. He jumped in the back of the van screaming orders telling them to get a move on. Anger burned through my common sense I started chasing the car. My sandal broke I kicked it off, my hair tie fell of I flipped my hair behind my ear.

I ran after the car it came into the park. Pt England park. The car kept going and going I stamped my eyes onto the car making sure it didn’t escape . It stopped the same man decided to pull out a gun. He aimed it towards me I turned away Viktoria was panting in the background  behind the man gasping
“Wait!Oh my god wait!”
The man was suddenly distracted by this I ran and leapt on him. Forcing my weight onto him. His elbow dug into my rib as he hit me again. I felt ice. I felt a pool of sun splashing on my face. I felt like I was falling through a bottomless.

I woke up in a hospital bed. I remembered something, something distant as if it was taken....
“Bailey!”
My cousin Viktoria hopped in literally. I didn’t waste time. I questioned her like.. what happened?
“Where’s Bailey?”
Bailey bounded in with mud on her paws. I laughed like no tomorrow. I had my cousin near my bed and my dog. I hung my hand over the corner bar of the bed Bailey licked my hand as I squealed with excitement. Viktoria slapped me on the back.
“Don’t ever do that again” Smiles beamed through her eyes.

Joaquin and Mavis - Our Persuasive Writtings

For our persuasive writing we had to persuade people whether yes we are or no we aren't responsible for our rubbish. First of all we had to decide our position, our position in this argument was yes, we are responsible for the rubbish we create.
I hope you enjoy reading our persuasive writing

Dear Fellow Peers

Through the years I have witnessed days, weeks, months and obviously years of littering. Child after child, litter after litter and rubbish truck after rubbish trucks.Do you want nothing? Go ahead keep littering!  If we keep on littering  our chances of having an emerald green country and school will diminish like ice over howling fire. Do you wanna spend the rest of you life savings on on your back because you’ve been bending over pick up 50 pieces of rubbish a day? Well we here to stick out to you like a fin on top of water. We are responsible for our litter!  We might even be influenced by the older generation who hit the school with a smashing impact.

Why do I believe we were influenced? We have siblings, cousins and many more relatives people! Our mind is contaminated with laziness as day in and day out we sit on our butts and throw litter on the ground. Do you expect it to disappear with a puff of smoke!? No!! Nothing will happen like that it’s way out of the way of possibility. We were influenced due to the environment we grew up clearly gave us the indication of “ littering is OK  The caretaker is surely to pick it up!” We am now year seven and eight students and suddenly we've realised we've got a sickening problem that shouldn't of even existed in the first place.

This could possibly affect our school reputation with a destructive hit . You say your too cool to pick it up throw it in the bin? Hmmm, last time I checked we were all humans and students of one school, and  were all cool but we need to have part in taking care of our school. We can talk it why can’t we walk it? I must admit I have littered but now I want to stop it so that we can maintain our school beauty.Maintaining our school can keep on building our school reputation as new students arrive.

Dirt, germs, yucky stuff, diseases students of Tamaki Primary School this is why we need to take action of our school rubbish. It definitely won’t do it itself. Like I said we are responsible for the rubbish in our school. It was us who decided throw our trash on the ground and now it is up to us to eliminate these multiple pieces of rubbish flying around in our school

The Magic Flying Carpet - Homework

Aloha!
For homework I had to finish off a story I crafted for written language. The image
I was given , along with the rest of my class was a magical flying carpet so we had to create a story and make sure it was in proper structure.
Hopefully you enjoy reading what I did with the photo.

Through the scars of curses, the shreds of abandonment and tears of loss tossed into curiosity sat one soul desperate for a way home. Searching for hope.  At least one beam of sunshine.

The bay of Delhi, India was stampeded with screaming children, wailing mothers and fathers burning with range. Their children clung onto their mothers Sari as they were ripped away from their family. Older sibling soothing their tears. 5 year old child’s whose eyes   were  nailed shut with tiredness blinked awake as the boat sailed away. Leaving behind his mother. He wondered in future if he would ever remember who he was in the past

10 years on that 5 year old boy grew up raised on the shores of Taiwan. Now aged 15 His adopted  family cursing at him calling him a devil with a name Jalal. Every obstacle was always forced onto his field whether or not he was guilty for them arriving there. Next door to their colossal house  lived a small family with only one daughter but 3 sons.

One of those three son’s yelled at the top of his lungs
“Lihua father wants you!”
A young girl around Jalal’s age flipped down from the tree.Landing like a swan.
“Why would father need me Kyoto?” Lihua asked politely slightly smirking
Kyoto’s eyes were slapped with anger.
“He just needs you O.K?!”
Kyoto spotted Jalal.
“What are you looking at slave? Go back to where you came from you piece of rubbish. Go find your real parents”
His words scratched at Jalal’s fragile heart.
Lihua’s nails snatched at Kyoto’s ears dragging him inside. A howl of pain echoed through the hall. Jalal wondered He’s right I need to run.I need to run fast and far. Three stars shone in the sky as night started to become obvious to everyone. Especially the ruler of the house he lived in

Jalal whispered to the three stars
“I will run away tonight. I need to find out who I am”
The rest of the day sprinted past as the streets of Taiwan dimmed their lights showcasing a plain show of midnight black. Jalal went into his room his feet crawling with warmth as he stood on the carpet. He opened the window exposing himself to the harsh winter breeze. He bit his stained nails he hung his legs over the window.

A light voice popped out of another window.
“Going somewhere?”
Jalal’s eyes swerved to the right there he spotted Lihua.
Jalal snapped “What’s it to you? Your brother called me a slave”
She replied “ I’m not my brother.”
Jalal rolled his eyes. “Your just stopping me so that I can be teased day and night forever by your brother. He’s a devil!”
She stated sharply “ I couldn’t agree more.”
Jalal sat up “ Say what?”
She sighed “ I said I couldn’t agree more”
Jalal swooped down onto the grass. Lihua’s gasp shocked him as he turned around his carpet was on the ground. Something was wrong seriously wrong. He glanced at the carpet
“No way”
Lihua was on the ground as well.
She stared at Jalal “ I’m coming with you.”
Jalal questioned “ Why?”
Lihua mumbled “ your the keeper of memories aren’t you”
“You’re a liar I don’t keep anything but my clothes Liar!” He accused her making sure the whole town heard. In fact to many people heard. The lights in his room shuddered alive. A voice shrieked “ Where is that boy. A head stabbed the night as it came out of the window.
It was her the owner of the house. The abuser. The ruler of this place.

Lihua grabbed his arm.
She bellowed “ Run!”
She ran with him sprinting around corners. Side-stepping shouts and tiptoeing past slumbering people. A ruffly material was following him. The carpet. It scooted under their feet. THrowing them into the air until the carpet rushed up to greet them.
Lihua yelped “ you are the keeper of memory!”
Jalal yanked a locket off his chest “I’m just a keeper of this locket given to me by my mother !”
The winds choked at his words. Their bodies dragged through time scratching them with memories and people from their past. THey were shoved to a stop they groaned as the tripped off the carpet. Jalal blinked
“I’ve seen this place before...I..I just can’t think where”
“You were born in delhi?” Lihua motioned towards the sign of a nearby store.
They ducked under the noise of screaming children, wailing mothers and fathers burning with rage.  His eyes met a little boy who looked out at sea seeming calm for a little. BOY  Though that little boy was on the boat Jalal felt drawn, connected to him. He glared at Lihua
“Hurry up!”

He yanked at her arm shouting. THey dove between the woven groups of people. Frowns bursting into the air. That little boy was confused as the sprinted towards him dodging the guards. Finally the got him. Jalal asked the little boy
“What’s your name?”
the little boy shook himself “ Jalal”
Jalal sighed looking over his shoulder at  “ WHere are you going?”
The little boy shrugged
“ I don’t know china?Taiwan? All I know is I’m being taken away from my parents and I can’t deal with it”
Jalal lay his hands on the little boys shoulders
“ Nothing comes between a son and their mother.”
Jalal grabbed mini Jalal  and pulled him onto his shoulders. He kept on walking until a woman in a blue sari jogged to them then full on ran.
She cried out with aching love “ Jalal”
She stopped short in front of the older Jalal.
“Jalal?”
The older Jalal nodded “ Yes mother”
His mother's face was smothered with confusion “ but how?”
Jalal smiled
“Apparently I came from the future time traveled with the locket you gave to me when I was here. I learnt to adapt to the new Taiwan environment my memory of my parents slowly slipping out of my head”
Lihua nodded agreeing as if there was no tomorrow.
“I remember seeing him arrive the ruler of his new house was cruel a danger to his future.”
His mother cradled the younger Jalal in her arms
Jalal asked his mother daring himself to handle the answer to be given  “ Mother? Have you always loved me?”
His mother  grinned “Always have and always will”
As the sun set they snuggled up on the magical flying carpet watching the sun fall asleep

Read A Book For 15 Minutes - Book For You

                   !!Book For You!!

Homework Task :
Read a book for 15 minutes.

Author - Sam Hay
Illustrator - Simon Cooper.
Book - Undead Pets - Night Of The Howling Hound
Genre - Narrative, Series

Who are the character in the book?
Joe Edmunds,10 years Old
Mr.Hill ,Teacher
Matt , Best Friend
Ben, Friend
Spiker - Annoying Kid
Students - A.K.A campers.

Where is the scene set?
The scene is set somewhere deep in a forest at a camp. Camp was not introduced thoroughly. Some scenes are written in a house on the other side of the forest.

What do you like about the book?
I like how it has a child who made a wish upon an amulet , an ancient gift given to him by his Uncle, for something that involved animals. Anyway after he made his wish things started to change. Even his destiny was chosen for him. His fate seemed to unravel for him as he found out the he was the protector of the undead pets who want go to rest peacefully until their loved ones heart ache is fixed or they want  their pet sister to be safe. It is a really responsible acting book

What did you not like about the book?
Well it was nothing big but there was something minor. I did wish that in this book of the series Joe would tell Matt his best friend but I believe that the author did it for a purpose so it is okay with me.

What is you overall student judgement?
The book was very active and very thrilling. Everything was positive and the fact that pets care dearly enough for their owners to stay alive long enough to make them happy makes me smile. O.S.J (Overall Student Judgement ) An awesome book. Reccomended for any age from 9 - 11.

The Tiger - Homework Task

For the writing part of our homework we were given a photo of a tiger in a bathroom. We used as much imagination as possible to turn this photo into a Narrative. I hope you enjoy reading my story below

Water trickled down Josh’s back as he hopped out of the shower. The white bathtub groaned as it gulped down the water. Moaning in the effort. His blue eyes fell on the new mirror which had just been installed. A crack echoed through the bathroom as he lifted his leg out, his eyes still enchanted by the mirror failed to assist the rest of his body. His toe jabbed. He fell head over heels.

His face suddenly buried into fur. He opened his eyes and got a handful of Jaffa orange and licorice black fur. He jolted into a kick stance. He looked closer it was a tiger.  The tigers green eyes flicked open. It re winded onto it hind paws then literally walked past Josh’s pale face.

It situated itself onto the glistening toilet bowl. After a few minutes it finished, suddenly... it lunged at Josh scanning it’s blue eyes. A voice crawled out the jagged teeth. “ Josh? What are you doing here?” The voice ran into Josh’s ear triggering this one thought “Jordan?”

The tiger nodded. Josh yelped “ My twin is a tiger!” Jordan nodded “ Josh help me only of you say the poem backwards I’ll be human.” “How’d you get here?” Josh asked “ Jordan roared “ I was left here last night when you said the poem you...you...you bonecracker!” “ Me what?” Josh raised his eyebrow. “A tiger saying now do it “

“Tiger gone before tonight
Green eyes bright
Tigers right
Tails long
Humans wrong”

Josh opened his eye. His frown dove into a smile as their stood in bone and flesh, in jeans and a singlet topped with a hat, was his blue-eyed, blonde haired brother. They hugged each other for a long moment Jordan sighed now time for payback “ Chicken cluck showing bad lu-”
Josh tackled  Jordan before he could finish. “Boys!!The Chicken Taco is ready!” Their mothers voice rang out from the kitchen. Jordan and Josh looked at each other... “BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
